Cyberbullying and online harassment are rapidly rising issues in Southern Africa, significantly impacting adolescents and teenagers. Popular social media platforms like TikTok, WhatsApp, and Facebook have unintentionally become hotspots for these harmful behaviors, placing younger children at increased risk as they join digital spaces despite age restrictions. Digihub Africa is delighted to invite you to the 2025 Teen Conference, held in Johannesburg on October 8th–9th, 2025. This dynamic event aims to raise awareness about social media risks, specifically focusing on cyber harassment and online safety. Engage with fellow teenagers, parents, educators, youth and human rights organizations through interactive discussions and empowering workshops designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical tools. Together, we’ll explore effective strategies to safely navigate the digital world and promote positive, responsible online behavior. Join us in creating a safer digital environment!
